The Brief

The IGA Marketplace franchise had engaged agency, Social Tap to give them a unique identity beyond the IGA umbrella. I was brought on board to lead direction, planning and execution of a launch issue magazine.

The Solution

We produced a 60-page coffee table-worthy issue that communicated quality ingredients, shared mouth-watering recipes and evoked the spirit of a laidback Queensland Christmas.

Working with food stylist Caroline Velik and photographer Elisa Watson we developed recipes based on client nominations and spent two days shooting stunning pared-back imagery that let the food sing. We focussed on summer vibes, strong sunlight and nods to the tropical rather than Christmas bells and whistles to allow the magazine maximum lifespan. Shots were also used in-store and above the line.
